Social mediaites beware, there is a movement, this movement is to infect everyone with a positive frame of mind, a community that is encouraging people worldwide to live out their dreams and enjoy life to every possible extent. Known as ‘Jaklar – Positive Vibes’, founded by Mr Jaklar himself, Harry Goeft, the Jaklar goal is to show the wider world of action sports what modern day windsurfing is all about.
Slightly baffled by the constant premise of Jaklar across social media, we decided for this one time only to hand over this feature to the founders themselves, for a little more ‘direction’.
About Jaklar!
It originally started as a bit of a joke in spring 2014. By setting up the first official page on Facebook, it was known as “the most incredible bullshit on earth“!
By seeing the community growing, we found out that “JAKLAR” means much more, than “yes sure”. JAKLAR can be literally translated to the English “yes sure”. In December 2015 we added the feature of POSITIVE VIBES. Now it becomes much more obvious what we want to express with “JAKLAR”.
In general “jaklar” stands for positivity, being optimistic, to show emotions and to be passionate, but also to be funny, crazy and for sure a little cheeky at times too…:-)!
With the support of some very good friends, Harry Goeft (Mr.JAKLAR) who, over time came close to the “windsurf family”, has founded this boardsport community. In part to stay in touch with everyone in the community (riders, event organisers and so one) but ultimately to express what an incredible sport windsurfing is, to show the discipline to other action sports communities and to grow it as much as possible . With JAKLAR we want to make everyone aware of the ‘amazingness’ of our sport to several board sports such as surfing, snowboarding and wakeboarding.
Our aim is to focus on the riders. We want to show how the riders express themselves through their sport. As it is the riders who put the sport in a certain spotlight. We, the “JAKLAR” community, want to make everyone aware of what is possible if you are passionate about your sport. We want to show that one can attract and polarize people by simply expressing authentic behaviour!
However, Jaklar is not only about the sport itself, it is also about sharing special and unique moments, whether through pictures or videos.
In the end our main goal is to spread positive vibes with.. “JAKLAR” ..jaklar!
We are not sure where this journey will take us, but we are excited about what the future will bring!
