With little to no waves at the PWA Cold Hawaii event so far we caught up with Victor Fernandez, Ricardo Campello, Marcilio Browne and Markus Rydberg to find out what they do to kill time whilst they wait for the forecast to come through. Apparently we’ve got a few chefs on tour, with 75% of the guys saying they like to cook, sounds like an idea for a live streaming session don’t you think, PWA Master Chef special… Find out what else they get up to below.

1.
VF: Watching TV series, there’s a lot of hours in each series, so you can get through a lot…
RC: Playing ping pong, it’s fun if there is a table and everyone gets quite competitive.
MB: I like to go running, it’s nice to see the surroundings a little more.
MR: It’s always good to get some footage from the event, somehow I always seem to get a lot of time lapses during the “waiting game”.

2.
VF: It’s always a good time to grab a SUP and maybe catch some small waves or just go for a paddle to see the coastline.
RC: Emails, there’s always a lot of emails, looking for shops for my eyewear company and also sponsors, so that’s always something to get on with.
MB: Cooking, sampling the local foods and inviting people round.
MR: I try to get some free sailing in if it is just not good enough to start the comp. If it’s totally dead I am doing some easy workouts and body movements to keep me from getting too slow and stiff whilst waiting.

3.
VF: Stretching, to keep my joints flexible and ready for when the forecast does arrive.
RC: Flying my drone
MB: Stretching, keeping fit and flexible is important.
MR: Hang out with my friends, but here in Klitmoller my girlfriend came a long so it’s nice to hang out with her.

VF: Surfing, if there are a few small waves then we can often get some surfing in, a lot of these spots have good waves.
RC: Watching Movies, there are a lot of movies out there.
MB: Watching Movies, yeah I like to watch films then as well.
MR: I always seem to start thinking of future trips and start planing and look in to that kind if stuff.

5.
VF: Cooking at home, with some time to kill it’s easy to fill it with good food.
RC: Cooking, I like to meet up with the others and we tend to all just cook together.
MB: Reading, there’s also a lot of good books out there.
MR: Collecting lifestyle clips and some more time lapses
