Ok it's just over a month since the start of 2015 but it's quite possible these guys scored near enough perfect conditions for what is being dubbed as the best wave event in the World. Have a turbo flick through this top 15 gallery to see if for yourself.

For those who fancy digesting a little more info, here is the report from the very very stoked organisers themselves.

Probably the best wave sailing competition in the world happened on Saturday. The EnerMech Margaret River Wave Classic 2015. Fairly consistent mast high bombs all day with 18-25 kts of cross offshore wind.

Stand out moments were Ben Severne's massive aerial in the Elite quarters. Karin Jaggi's awesome riding and then just about every wave Scotty hit. His super late, possibly slightly involuntary, backloop and his gravity defying top turns.

The competition format was 10 min heats with 2 waves 1 jump, but head judge Tim Brazier extended the Women's and Elite finals to 20 mins and the crowds in the car park were entertained by some of the best riding you could hope to see anywhere in the world.

In the end Scotty and Karin just had too much class, they really are the king and queen of Margies, just so consistently awesome.

Massive thanks to Windsurfing WA, sponsors EnerMech, Patrik, Severne Sails, Windforce and Bootleg Brewery. Also thanks to surf lifesaving WA for providing JetSki rescue and Gnarabar for putting up with us at the event party.

An unedited sunset shot. The sky was made so red by recent forest fires which left a smoky red haze.
