The next title contender for 2013 is Brawzinho…this 24 year old has been in and around the top for years now and is without a doubt one of, if not the, most impressive sailors to watch outside of competition. But can he pull it together in the tricky Canary Island conditions?
Name: Marcilio ‘Brawzinho’ Browne
Sail No: BRA105
Age: 24
Height: 188 cm
Weight: 84 kg
Where have you been training over the winter?
Maui and Chile.
What special equipment will you have for Pozo?
i will have the Banzais from 3.4 up to 5.7 and I will be using quads, maybe I will also ride twin fins a bit.
What event are you most looking forward to on the tour this year and why?
Probably Pozo and Tenerife, i really have a lot of fun there and they are the warmest! Chile also sounds like it will be great, I have never sailed Topocalma on a good day so I am looking forward to it.
What is your biggest strength?
I am not sure, maybe that I am consistent on a few moves?
What can you do that you think will score the highest with the judges this year?
If the conditions are right I would like to try some push loop forwards .
Who is your biggest rival?
All the boys are very hard to beat I would say, but on the tour with those conditions Phillip probably the hardest.
But guys like Victor, Ricardo, Swifty , Dany Bruch, Mussolini … they are all amazing and sailing at such a close level.
And who else would you like to see on the PWA tour that could make it to the top?
Kauli Seadi and Levi Siver for sure , especially in a place like Chile , would be great to see those guys ripping there.
