Last year, the 8th ProKids Bonaire Freestyle & Slalom Championship was a success with many competitors from the Caribbean representing the islands of Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire. The Netherlands and the USA were also represented in numbers. Kiri Thode ended up taking 1st place in the Men's Freestyle, followed closely by Taty and Choko Frans. In the U-17 Freestyle category, Amado Vrieswijk came away with the victory while Jürgen Saragoza won it in the U-15.

As for slalom, Ethan Westera ranked 1st with Amado Vrieswijk arriving in 3rd place. Taty Frans, who had not participated in the first heats managed to grab a couple of 1st places but it wasn't enough to catch up with the other guys.

With last year’s 60+ participants, ProKids Bonaire 2013 promises to be even bigger with more attention for what’s happening on land as well. Expect great accommodations, celebrations and a windsurfing spectacle in true Caribbean fashion!
