In one of the most dramatic slalom events for a long time Antoine Albeau fought his way back from the depths of the rankings to a staggering 4th place. This resulted in a breathtaking moment whilst the rules were checked as both Albeau and Pierre Mortefon were tied on points for the overall ranking. In the end the decision favoured Albeau who had beaten Mortefon four times out of six during the 2015 competition season.
Perhaps his closest ever fight for a world title Albeau showed his need for some additional support from fans the day before the last race.
fingers crossed for tomorrow. I need some support !! #antoinealbeau #22xworldchampion #pwa #pwa2015 #slalom #windsurfing

After finishing 16th in the last race there was more than a few minutes that passed before people realised that he would tie on points with Mortefon for the overall title. A few minutes later and some rule checks and it was confirmed that Albeau had taken his 23rd World Title, much to his relief.
happy to announce you that I just won another Slalom World Title !!! Thanks to all my sponsors to follow me all this years #antoinealbeau #23xworldchampion #pwa2015
