After a long week in Korea the worlds fastest slalom sailors finally had a chance to make it on to the race course in the final hour.
Using some of their largest gear the competitors managed to complete four full eliminations in the women's fleet and two full eliminations in the men's. In the end it was no easy heat as Antoine Albeau managed to claim victory in the men's but without winning a race, whilst Sarah-Quita Offringa had to fight of the likes of Lena Erdil, Delphine Cousin and the fast rising talent that is Fulya Ünlü.
Both fleets saw much excitement and big jumps in the ranks for some but it was perhaps the final of round 3 in the women's fleet that saw the closest racing. if Lena Erdil, Delphin or Fulya could beat Sarah then they stood with a good chance of taking the top spot at this event. After a lightning quick start and flawless gybes Lena Erdil left the girls for dust and found herself crossing the line in first place. Coming into the final it was all to play for between the top girls, Lena and Sarah were both in with a shot for first place but in the end it was Sarah who kept her cool and managed to charge to victory. Nonetheless it was two Turkish girls who filled the rest of the podium showing that their winter training worked wonders.
