Yesterday was the opening day of the AWT Santa Cruz festival, the second stop for the American Windsurfing Tour, who held a successful event in Cabo Verde back in March.

With suitable conditions from the get go, the Ladies, Grand Masters and Youths all got started and in fact the Youths were the only ones not quite able to finish today, the super final will be held tomorrow.

The big victories of the day come from Sarah Hauser who dominated in the Ladies bracket, whilst the Grand Masters winner came in the form of Reed Nelson.

With plenty more fleets to go the Santa Cruz stop is packed with competitors, including such big names as Morgan Noireaux, Kevin Pritchard, Camille Juban and many many more…
