With plenty to go through let’s kick off with this moving tribute from a paddle out in memory of Peter Volwater. The film was created after 150 of Peter’s friends and family members took to their surf boards at his home spot of Wijk aan Zee.
Over to the Canaries now and PWA Gran Canaria is coming to a close. If you haven’t seen our latest features then be sure to check them out, not only do they contain a stack of rad moves but you can also have a go at judging for yourselves. See what we are talking about by clicking here.
Also from Gran Canaria is the official event videos. Each day a new one drops and the theme for today is focusing on the ladies that rip. Seriously, the girls are on fire at the moment and the level is rising and rising.
Something pretty cool now and it looks like hydrofoils are beginning to take off (excuse the pun) as the products become more and more stable. Just check out this perfect foil to foil gybe.
Meanwhile in Israel Arnon Dagan has been enjoying the winds on the Sea of Galilee where he says that it is “the historic place where Jesus windsurfed on the water“. We are not sure it is quite like that but nonetheless conditions seem to be firing there during the summer months as we also heard of freestyler Yarden Meir heading there for a few days training a few weeks ago.
That’s about it from us. Enjoy the weekend and see you on Monday for plenty more exciting updates.
