After a week in Fuerteventura at the popular speed spot of Matas Blancas we can finally wrap up the event with our own rough cut video. Action from the beach, the water and the prize giving, this video pulls together a fun week had by all.

In addition to this, Björn Dunkerbeck announced in the prize giving that the event will expand next year to take on two spots. In the best interests of the competitors and the event, the world famous location of Sotavento beach will be added should the forecast at Matas Blancas not provide. Much to the delight of those present, the specific location would be between the Rene-Egli Centre (Centre 1) and the Club Mistral centre (Centre 2/Risco del Paso).

Known well amongst the speed scene, the additional location used to host many a world championships in the past. Including this classic back in 1986. Just check out that interview with a stoked Pascal Maka.

With such high speeds achieved during this years event, despite the 'lighter' winds, many are looking forward to return next year where record speeds are expected. Talking of which Björn Dunkerbeck was pleased to let us know that his son Liam (11 years old) had achieved over 50 km/h just after the event as strong winds filled in over the weekend.
