After the fun and frolics of the Wave Jam weekend, there has been no let up and no work for me as a fisherman down here in the far West!
We\'ve had a good riding day at Gwithers, light and smallish it at 3-4ft, it was fun on the kite for me in the morning and windsurfing for the rest of the local crew in the arvo.
Other than that Maza (Marazion) has been the spot with some nice jumping days; Andy King down tweaking it out with Blackie going large with the backies, whilst Andy Fawcett was killing it busting big pushies and tweaking his way around on a 3.6 in between the horizontal rain.
Then we had Sunday 9th December being forecasted to be bigger than the week before at 45ft! The morning was spent again checking the secret spots whilst bumping into Blackie on a back lane yet again, Maza ended up being the best option at 3ft cross off and hellish gusty!
With everyone rigging their smallest sails (me on a 3.7m) maxed out sailing was had with 80knt gusts being recorded at the heliport. Everyone got slammed at some point, jumps were kept to a minimum and with the sets peeling nicely as the tide pushed up you could hit a few turns, unless one of those mother gusts hit mid bottom turn! Now we have south-easters and boy is it bitter so god knows what\'s its like furthur up country!
However, tis the season to be jolly!
