As the storm of the century heads to New Zealand, JP madmen are on their way to intercept. Polakow and Swift are heading to the big wave spot of Papatowai. If they make it they will be the first windsurfers to ride the wave.
Papatowai lies in the Deep South of New Zealands South Island and is the NZ equivalent of Jaws, Pipeline or Mavericks. Located in the heart of the "Roaring Forties" this place is neither warm, nor hospitable. And if the forecasted 19ft/14 secs swell hits it could get pretty scary. Add to that warnings of strong rips and sharks and you certainly wouldn\'t want to break a mast out there. Fingers crosses for them, but we are sure the pictures will be worth it.
