The storm chase to the Southern tip of New Zealand turned out to be a good move for Swifty and Polakow. After a grueling trip through the night, they woke up early to grey skies and a small swell. Slightly disheartened they went for breakfast and fortunately returned later to find the swell had picked up and the wind had kicked in. They scored some of the best conditions ever and were the first windsurfers ever to sail the legendary big wave. Robby had this to say about the day.
"We had an awesome session sailing out at Papatowai that day with beautiful smooth waves and good wind for our 5.0s. We returned to the beach very happy boys!"
Check this shot for now, but I am sure we will see many more in the future!
