The second of the Maui Race series, sponsored by Da Kine, took place at the legendary Kanaha Beach the past 21st of June.

With the entrants broken up into age groups and ability divisions, there were some exciting battles in every race.

It was a difficult day with very gusty and shifty winds, but in the end a great weekend for the race.

Micah Buzianis dominated the race from start to finish in the Pro fleet and on his age group (19-39), and Phil Mcgain did the same in his (40-49). Todd MacFarlane won the group from 50 and over.

In the juniors, Kai Lenny and Jake Golms were consistently ahead of their ability division.

More girls took part this time, with Karla Aguera wining.

The third event of the Maui Race Series will be on July 5th, so keep tuned.
