Ricardo takes it one step further with a double forward, Kauli lands an amazing Air Chacho for a perfect 30 and Mussolini goes sick with a floaty Table Top Forward.
But, get this, this double was only the second that Ricardo has ever attempted on starboard tack. It took the breath\’s crowd away. Yannick Anton could only manage fourth despite a huge one footed forward.
Yesterdays finalists, Nik Baker and Josh Angulo, were absent from this final, but they were probably pretty happy watching that from the stands. Now that the sailors are seeing the limits being pushed further we can expect to see some more double action tomorrow. Women\’s winner Daida quoted on stage that she would be trying them as she is pretty confident after a big forward and a one footed forward. Junko Nagoshi had to settle for second place despite an excelllent forward and another good scoring jump.
With the sailors egging each other on even more, tomorrow is going to push the limits on the ramp and the Brits are determined to get themsleves into the finals.
