News Headlines – Wed 17th

In the next July issue of Wind magazine they are publishing an exclusive board test, the Starboard Quad EVO 81L 2010. They completed the test in Morocco and have just released a video from it. This is the first chance for us to see one of the most talked about boards coming out this year. Supposedly replacing the londstanding single fin fabourite, it must be good! There is only a sneak peek of the fin set up, but check it out here:

The European Freestylers haven’t had much of a rest lately. They just finished a few days ago in Palekastro, in Greece and they already start again tomorrow in Alacati, Turkey, in the Alacati King of the Bay. Steven van Broeckhoven is definitely the man to beat, but Andre Paskowski and Nicko Akgazcyan are following closely. Check out the information about the event venue on the EFPT site.

Now a story of negative turned into positive. Sarah Hebert suffered a cardiac incident three years ago. From this experience and with her positive attitude she is now not only in 3rd place on the PWA Slalom tour, but also supported by the Boston Scientific (a brand of defibrillators). They are using her as the best image for the brand and supporting most of her competitions costs. Check out more on WJ. (Google translated).

The Exe Regatta will be held this year on the 27th and 28th of June. It will be in Exmouth, Devon, and everything is set to be a really fun weekend with loads of exciting things happening. For more information check out the website clicking here

Ross Williams is back up to top position on the Windsurf Journal Windsurfer of the Year ranking. Check the provisional leader board here.

Peter Volwater gives his personal point of view about the past event in Costa Brava in this report for the Maui Sails website.

The RRD blog has been around for a while, but now you can follow the news with the RSS feed. Check it out here.

Lastly Graham Ezzy (Dave Ezzy\’s son) is over in Europe. He was supposed to be training in Pozo, but as the weather has not really been very good down recently, he decided to pop over to Holland and meet the Ezzy Sails man over there. No better ambassador for the brand.
