The PWA Costa Teguise Freestyle event has been on hold waiting for the wind to fill in all of this morning on day three. But yesterday saw men\’s and women\’s fleets whittled down to four and two respectively: in the men\’s Philip Soltysiak has sailed out of his Canadian skin to reach the last four, alongside Gollito, Kiri Thode and Tonky Frans (whose brother Taty fell at the hands of Bjorn Saragoza). It\’s just Sarah-Quita and Yoli De Brendt left in the women\’s. No day two movie yet – but this ought to keep you going from fickle day one…
Of course you can keep up with all the action on the PWA live ticker (including a good interview with Bubble), and see what they don\’t tell you in Max Rowe\’s blog on our forum. And we\’re stoked to announce that Phil Horrocks has put his blog on hold and already started reporting on the PWA Pozo build-up on our forums too. Still windy but pretty flat, which has at least allowed Ben Proffitt the chance to play with his pole-mount camera.
Currently paying a flying visit to Pozo is Adam Sims, whose latest movie seems to be turning heads: it\’s front page of today\’s Continent Seven, and on the RRD blog. Fellow SWA graduate Sarah Bibby is out there too, getting involved in the next of Adam\’s movies – it should be worth keeping an eye on her too, as she\’s off to Brazil then Maui for the rest of the year…
Meanwhile Adam\’s off to Fuerteventura next, where we hear he\’ll be joining quite a posse of keen young British and Polish freestylers for a solid month of training. Which brings us to the third stop on the Canaries Tour – and Continent Seven\’s Chris Pressler is already there ready for the forthcoming PWA Sotavento Slalom event due to commence alongside the Freestyle on the 23rd.
The good people at Boylo\’s online shop are claiming an windsurfing industry first in the shape of a loyalty scheme – a great way to get more for your money. Register before the end of July to score 10 free points to get you on your way.
And finally, it\’s well worth checking out a little movie spotted by Brian at Beach Telegraph – i mean, we all know fins flex, but did you ever realise quite how much?!?
