Micah Buzianis stormed into the lead on the first day of PWA Slalom yesterday at the Pegasus Airlines World Cup, Alaçati, Turkey. He took two bullets to finish ahead of Antoine Albeau and Julien Quentel while Valerie Arrighetti took a first and a third to lead the women\’s fleet, but there\’s plenty of time yet until the event finishes on Saturday – see for more, check out the official event site at, or for a more personal perspective try Dan Ellis\’s blog

After two races at the Olympic class Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta in Weymouth yesterday, Britons Nick Dempsey, Bryony Shaw and Izzy Hamilton are already sitting towards the top of the table. Nick\’s just a point off the lead in third, while Bryony is also third, just a point ahead of fourth-placed young pretender Izzy Hamilton. More at the official event site.

Staying on Olympic class kit, earlier this summer Argentinian Mariano Reutermann and Canadians Kevin Stittle and David Hayes sailed their RS:Xs 100km around Christian Island in Canada\’s Lake Huron, Ontario. Including a stop for lunch on the island it took 3hrs 30 min – see their footage here.
