The Windsurfing Movie II by John Decesare and Jace Panebianco is already screening around the world - and we\'ve heard tell that copies are arriving into the UK now. If it\'s half as good as the first one we\'re in for a treat, but judging by this Team Pryde clip we\'d best get ready to be astounded (again!) In not entirely unrelated news, there are free screenings of Oxbow\'s Watermen Experience around the UK this week: Wednesday at London\'s Potion Bar, Thursday at Newquay\'s Buzios Bar, Bournemouth\'s Reef Encounter and Manchester\'s Walkabout Inn. More here.
The first Windsurfing Movie genuinely made our technique jedi Jem Hall cry. There\'s no telling what state he\'s in right now as he\'s currently out slumming it in Baja with Boards mag editor Dave White - and after a year of neigh-saying Whitey finally seems to have seen the light with windSUPing. Meanwhile Jem\'s raving about his new RRD Cult Quad 92 on the 2XS site, where ex-Boards mag tester Emile Kott also has some interesting feedback on the Fanatic Quad 79...
In other kit news, Starboard have unveiled their new 2011 iSonics, iSonic Speeds and Futuras. Check them out.
John Skye has posted a report from the informal Vargas Championships organised by Marcos Perez on Gran Canaria - not being \'local\', John couldn\'t compete in the wavesailing but he was allowed into the long distance race where he finished a close second to Philip Koster. Is there anything that kid can\'t do?!?
Hopping across to Fuerteventura now, where the Moreno twins are offering 30 lucky kids a free clinic on 8 September in association with their sponsors, CajaCanarias. Meanwhile Stephen Gibson has hooked up with Pura Vida Boardriders to offer a week-long guided clinic right around the island - dates are 8-15 September, costing £480 plus flights...
North team rider Fabian Weber hooked up with photographer Sebastian Schöffel to get some pretty cool pix of North\'s new Code Mad sails with some complementary street art. See more on www.north-windsurf.com. Also looking pretty trick, Bryony Shaw has scored her new pimped out VW Kombi from her sponsors – check it out on Facebook.
And finally, huge apologies for jinxing Thursday\'s forecast yesterday. It has now, of course, all but disappeared... On the plus side, plenty got a sail yesterday, including Sam Darkin who enjoyed his double-whammy at Ferring and Shoreham, and North Devon blogger Howard at Fisher Viking.
