At the risk of royally jinxing things, it\'s genuinely looking like an amazing forecast for BWA Cornwall this weekend. The pro double is scheduled for Friday at Gwithian where Big Salty predict a 3m swell and 25 knots of wind. The nation\'s wavesailors are mobilising as we speak – if you can drop whatever it is you\'re doing, why not join them? Could be the British wavesailing event of the decade... More here and here.
Staying in Cornwall for today\'s movie, check out First Rehearsal from Cornish sail brand 5-Oceans – \'local\' legends Ian Black and Andrew Fawcett at Marazion for R&D of the 2010 range. See 5-Oceans\' new blog for more West Country goodness.

Heading back east a bit, Weymouth Speed Week concluded on Friday – not the windiest of weeks but enough for a few 30+ knot speeds. Local hero Kevin Greenslade was fastest windsurfer at 32.75 knots, narrowly missing out overall to kiter James Longmuir at 33.42 knots. Check out a report and some pix on Dave White\'s site.
And last weekend it was the turn of the gybers to step up for the final round of BSA Slalom at Weymouth. Seems Mat Pearch\'s dominance has finally cracked as a certain Ross Williams turned up to steal the show from Mat in second and that man Kev Greenslade again in third. Full results here, a report here, and a few more pictures here...
At the Saturday night awards, Izzy Hamilton won the UKWA Windsurfer of the Year – she wasn\'t there to receive it personally, but right on cue she\'s flown to the front of the women\'s RS:X fleet on day one of the World Youth Champs in Cyprus with two bullets and a fourth. In the men\'s fleet windsurfer of last year Adam Sims is currently 6th, while rising star Connor Bainbridge is 4th. Here\'s the day 1 movie, and it\'s well worth keeping an eye on their progress here.

Also on a winning streak, we understand that as well as taking the BSA Youth Slalom title for 2010, Sam Latham bagged himself an Acer netbook from the recent Fanatic Boarders Center (sic!) give-away. And they\'re doing it again for November: just fill in your details here for a chance to win too...
Veering west again, and the Student Windsurfing Association\'s annual bash Aussie Kiss 9 went off at Bude Holiday Park and Roadford Water over the weekend. Jay Haysey of Globalshots accompanied Muzza and Jamie Gibbs down there and have published a full report and pictures on tushingham.com. High-profile SWA graduate Adam Sims was on parade too, and has posted reports on the RRD blog of some ensuing dodgy naked calendar scariness with Portsmouth Uni. Hmmm...
And finally, onto something altogether more wholesome – we\'d like to congratulate former Boardseeker editor (and now shaper of young scientific minds) Clyde Waite on his marriage to Liz last weekend. More here. Get set for the ride of your life, fella!
