Apologies for the brevity of these headlines, but to be honest it\’s windy! So, let\’s begin with a movie from umi Pictures – naturalised homeboy Josh Angulo on Cape Verde by way of another teaser for this weekend\’s PWA event. See the full entry list here.

Surprisingly the PWA site isn\’t exclusively Cabo Verde right now, there\’s room for a Paul Griffiths chat with Russia\’s Olya Raskina on her forthcoming film Made In Ocean. Here\’s the trailer…

It\’s a bit lonely back on Maui now the PWA boys have gone according to Nayra Alonso, but while the cat\’s away… And Ho\’okipa\’s been “f-ing awesome” according to Maui Surf Report. Meanwhile Dave White, Ant Baker and now Robby Naish have been hanging with Craig Wood, the young windsurfer who lost his legs and arm to the war in Afghanistan. The big news out of Ireland is that Finn Mullen\’s become the first to windsurf the fearsome slab at Aileens – we\’ll bring you more on that as soon as we see some footage (hopefully from Brian at Beach Telegraph, who was perched on the cliffs above).
