News Headlines – Mon 20th

So, welcome to the start of Christmas week from Britain\’s winter wonderland. Way too cold for sailing now, so today let\’s take a look south where anyone sensible (and, given the state of our airports, lucky) enough has headed this winter. South Africa is a stalwart this time of year, and Phil Horrocks is reporting from Cape Town on his blog – a bit of wandering has meant 10 days\’ action out of 14 so far, and some decent swell has tempted Timo Mullen and Ross Williams out there for a spot of port tack training too. Out to South America now, more specifically Chile where Robby Swift has bolted to after the skunked PWA Cape Verde event. And they\’ve scored it too judging by this movie from Swifty and Heidy Clawson.
