News Headlines – Tue 1st

Let\’s kick off today with this movie from Fanatic rider Vincent Mellouet in Cape Town – SA\’s Faces. Aside from the fact that Vincent is recovering from an ankle injury, we must admit to not knowing too much about him, so thanks to our favourite new blogger Zakel for a heads-up on his other projects…

Fresh home from South Africa, Adam Sims is back to freestyling freezing Whitstable – more here, we\’re promised a film of the day very soon – and has stepped into the wonderful world of Twitter to keep him occupied of an evening. Follow him @adamsimsk669

Away again, Ireland\’s Mikey Clancy continues to train for the Fuerte Wave Classic up on the North Shore next week. Now well recovered from his sever ankle injury, he\’s looking back on fine form to us too – more on his latest session at \’Puntaa Blancaa y Majanichoo\’ here, and read his pre-event interview with sponsors Starboard here.

Back home, following his signing to JP Australia / NeilPryde, British uber-coach (oh, and pretty tidy racer too!) Guy Cribb\’s CV has now appeared in the international team rider pages on with a slant very much towards the waves…

Preferred board? Kauli\’s Quads. Although Cribby\’s on the JP Single Thruster in a lot of those shots. And you know what? We\’ve got a movie of just that board – check it out…

Staying with JP superstars, check out this Q&A with Ricardo Campello from Andre Paskowski\’s forthcoming movie Minds Wide Open. More on the production at their Facebook page

Down Under, it had to happen sooner or later, and Point-7 team rider Sean O’Brien has been out sailing the flood-waters engulfing his home city of Brisbane after Australia\’s worst deluge in a century. More here.

Meanwhile out west Ben Severne has won the inaugural West Coast Wave Classic with a goita on the inside at Walkers. More at
