The latest big movie set to do the rounds online is Swifty\'s March 2011 in Chile – Robby and Heidi only got to spend three weeks \'at home\' in Matanzas, but he scored 16 days of action. Want some? (And don\'t we all?) Check out chileanwaves.com – and of course there\'s more from K-89 at robbyswift.com
Talking of big movies, the DVD release of the year so far has to be Sylvain Demercastel\'s dark French \'shock surf movie\' Planet Blow: The Dark Lines. There\'s teasers galore all over the web, but here\'s the first actual extract we\'ve seen. Very dark, very French, very different – much more at planetblow.com
Star of that very movie, Fabrice Beaux spent a couple more months in the Philippines this year – mostly Boracay where he\'s been working on his slalom and raced away with victory in the NeilPryde Funboard Cup, but with his Japanese pal Taka Kamagushi also visited their \'secret spot\' for some wavesailing up north that\'s apparently comparable to Maui\'s North Shore. If you need to know where, best start your investigations at neilpryde.com where Fabrice recounts his trip.
And here\'s a trip we\'d love to get on – Danielle Lucas and Phil Richards of Get Windsurfing in Egypt have announced a 3-week road trip around the Sinai taking in Moon Beach, El Tur, Dahab and the Blue Lagoon. Dates are 3-24 May, the flights are cheap, the water\'s empty, the sun\'s hot, and the wind\'s blowing: has there ever been a better time to see Egypt? More details at boards.co.uk
There\'s been a fair bit from Florian Jung just lately – like his Morrocan big wave sessions as featured yesterday – and here\'s a bit on the technology behind that technique as he talks us through his quad-fin set-up. Specifically it\'s his RRD Hardcore Quad 84, but it\'s interesting for any first-time quad owners toying with this whole new world of fin set-up options. Check it out.
Here\'s another story involving Flo, who took a break outside at Ho\'okipa for a quick diving session with his mate Klaas Voget. Unfortunately for Klaas, who\'d recently survived Jaws unscathed, as they resurfaced he got caught square in the face by a fin at full tilt. Six stitches later, he\'s off the water for 10 days ... so he should still just about make the Fanatic photoshoot. There\'s definitely a lesson in there somewhere! More at fanatic.com
And finally, Lesbos! OK – you can stop sniggering at the back there, it\'s that\'s kind of attitude that\'s kept this Greek island gem off the international radar. Because Sportif have introduced a new high wind centre to their brochures, Sigri way out west offers five sailing spots including waves in the channel and a \'Pozo-esque\' onshore break too. The RRD centre Sigri Surf are hosting one of this year\'s Trickademy courses (from the people that brought you Tricktionary) which sounds like endorsement enough to us. More here, book for May departures onwards now via Sportif on 01273 844919 or at sportif.travel
