Out on Margarita Island, the Fanatic / North pairing of Jose \’Gollito\’ Estredo and Yoli de Brendt won the freestyle contest at Copa ONA 2011, El Yaque last weekend. No great surprise there, but you could be excused a double-take when you read that Gollito\’s second in the racing on his new Fanatic Falcons and North Warps have seen him crowned Venezuelan Slalom Champion! Might we see him follow Sarah-Quita\’s crossover from tricking to racing on the World Tour? More at

Need a change of scene yourself? New job, maybe? Witchcraft custom boards on Fuerteventura are offering 150-200 days on the water a year to the right person for a role in their board factory. The ideal candidate? Let\’s hop over to Tenerife now, R&D base for Point-7 sails who tell us that their first shipments of the new AC-1 2k11 4-cam race sail have arrived in Europe and will be delivered to team riders and clients alike this week. Meanwhile even further over in Egypt a crew from Blacklab films including Adam Sims, Max Rowe and Steve Thorne have been on tour from Moonbeach to El Tur to Dahab in pursuit of footage for their forthcoming film celebrating the cream of UK freestyle. And finally, we\’d like to join the whole world windsurfing community in wishing Andre Paskowski the best of luck as we learn his year-long battle with cancer isn\’t over yet. Despite being declared \’all clear\’ by doctors earlier this year, Andre is back in hospital in Germany for more surgery and more chemo. Be strong, Andre.
