Today\'s big news comes from Maui where Boujmaa Guilloul has been recovering in hospital overnight following a heavy crash at Ho\'okipa that left him unconscious in the water. He was reportedly going for a triple-forward, but was spotted sinking in the water and fished out by Klaas Voget and the local lifeguards – as photographed by Jimmie Hepp on Facebook. According to Starboard\'s Facebook page: "Preliminary damage report includes water in his lungs, a cut lip with stitches and a concussion." As the travel insurance is very unlikely to cover it, Bouj\'s night of medical observation is rumoured to be costing him tens of thousands of dollars: there\'s already a support page here. Coincidentally, there\'s a brand new interview with the Moroccan madman just published on waveman.cat
Meanwhile, the big result from last weekend is that Dorian van Rijsselberge (NED) and Marina Alabau (ESP) have won the men\'s and women\'s RS:X fleets at the Princess Sofia Regatta in Palma, Spain. Britain\'s Nick Dempsey finished a frustrating 10th in the medal race, slipping back to Bronze medal position overall. More at rsxclass.com – and meanwhile here\'s a movie of Saturday\'s medal races.
