News Headlines – Tue 3rd

Globally, all windsurfing eyes are on Austria right now as PWA Podersdorf is on its fifth day at Neusiedler See for the Surf World Cup. According to the PWA live ticker, conditions are better today although so far they\’ve only managed to fit in four heats between the thunderstorms since Friday. There has been a result from Podersdorf already though, in that Gollito won the EFPT / Surf Magazine Tow-In Session from Steven van Broeckhoven, Tonky Frans and Antony Ruenes – thanks to for this footage of the qualification, and see a full report of the action at

The biggest movie of the weekend though is this helmet-cam footage of Boujmaa Guilloul\’s recent doomed triple-loop crash at Ho\’okipa from Victor Fernandez\’ perspective. Pretty heavy, and pretty well stalled – thankfully, of course, Boujmaa\’s now OK so we can all revel in the action guilt-free. See the freeze-frame footage at

Back in Britain, the biggest event of the weekend had to be W4CR\’s Sunrise Sunset in aid of cancer research charities on Sunday.
