Windsurfing History was made yesterday! According to Dave White\'s Facebook fan page, Philip Koster landed a triple-forward loop yesterday in Pozo, Gran Canaria! Apparently he pulled it off in the lighter winds that they have been having in Pozo of late. We can only hope that someone caught the moment on film. Incredible!
It is Canaries time and yesterday was day one of the PWA Costa Teguise Freestyle World Cup event. According to the PWA Website, it was a relaxing first day and following the registraton, the competitors hit the water on 5.3s at about 2pm in 15-20 knots. After the first 19 heats, the wind retreated, putting the competition on hold. The biggest news so far is that Tonky Frans has been knocked out of the first single elimination by Anthony Ruenes - in a 2-1 judges decision they were separated by only half a point! Andy Chambers made it through his first heat but was knocked out by Taty Frans and is hoping for some waves for the double elimination.

Good on ya Kevin and keep up the good work!
With Aruba in mind, we need to apologise for not earlier mentioning something that Clyde Waite has pointed out on Windsurf Britain. Sarah-Quita Offringa managed to win both the freestyle and the slalom events in Aruba and is currently ranking number 1 in both disciplines - an incredible acheivement!
Finally, still on the competition theme, UKWA / BSA round 3 slalom event takes place in Aberdovey this weekend. There will be a big demo with gear from Starboard / Tushingham / RRD / Fanatic / North / JP / NP / Severne, the slalom event with a prize fund of
