News Headlines – Tue 26th

The third day of freestyle at PWA Fuerteventura saw lighter winds and super-flat water – perfect for Caribbean style master Tonky Frans to sweep through the men\’s double, while Xenia Kessler impressed in the women\’s. Out in the Netherlands the next generation of freestylers have been doing battle in the the IFCA Pro Kids at Brouwersdam. Rick Jendrusch took the under-20s, Rafael de Windt the under-17s, Ethan Westera the under-15s … but from a British perspective the big news is that Isaac Bradley-Baker from West Kirby survived a bad wind-skating crash to become Under-13 IFCA Freestyle World Champion. Coming up this weekend (30 July to 6 August) is what could be one of the wavesailing events of the season as the AWT hits Baja for the San Carlos Cactus Cup – there\’s quite a promising forecast at, while are carrying a great interview with Solo Sports founder Kevin Trejo…

Back in the UK, the public at large might not be enjoying this summer so much – but for us windsurfers it\’s been a pretty good one.
