And finally, following yesterday\’s report on the AWT\’s forthcoming Hatteras event being put on hold after Hurricane Irene devastated the US Eastern Seaboard, we hear of a far more tragic casualty of the storm. The Peconic Puffin was first to break the sad news that Joe Rocco, aka \’the Mayor of Heckscher\’, died of head injuries after windsurfing the tail end of the tropical storm on Sunday.
