Well, after a day of wind like yesterday in the UK with 50-knot gusts recorded the country over, we were hoping for some footage. And right on cue Britain\'s very best freestylers released this cracking crash compilation from windy West Wittering – Max Rowe, Bubble, Adam Sims and Muzza endure some full-power wipe-outs on the lagoon...

Still en route to Poole for this weekend\'s UKWA freestyle showdown at a wild and windy WindFest – get on it at windfest.co.uk – the crew are due to hook up with PWA rookie Jamie Drummond back at Hayling today. So we\'re hoping for more action from them tomorrow. And if you want to know how they got to where they are today, Max tells us his story at maxrowe.blogspot.com

Meanwhile another man of the moment on the slalom course, NWF Night Windsurf winner and second at the recent Worthing event RRD / Simmer hotshot Connor Bainbridge remembers a great weekend for all of us – and even greater for him – at connorbainbridge.blogspot.com. While we\'re at it, following yesterday\'s full feature, here\'s Muzza\'s 2-minute NWF highlights reel...

Staying on the racecourse, the longboard fleets completed three back-to-back races yesterday at the Raceboard World Championships in Spain – and it\'s still looking good for our Brits! Harriet Ellis remains on top of the women, having posted two more bullets, while Mark Kay remains in contention in 5th behind Patrik Pollak, Curro Manchon, Toni Colomar and Juan Mayan\'s in the men\'s 9.5 fleet. Down to sails of half the size now, and Hot Sails Maui are preparing to ship what they\'re describing as "the lightest production wave sail in the world", their new FireLight. Read more about this 5-battened featherweight at boards.co.uk

Sticking with sails, down in the West Country the crew at 5-Oceans sails are continuing to test their prototype 3-battened wave sail. After 20-odd sessions the 5m seems to be working nicely for 68kg Andrew Fawcett – we\'ll see how it fares for heavier folk soon at 5-oceans.blogspot.com

Over in Devon, Tushingham Sails have started exporting their rigs way out east to the land of the rising sun, as Thomas Mayers at Izumi Surf Imports has been appointed as their distributor in Japan. More at tushingham.com

Talking of Tushingham, we\'re happy to hear more from another \'Tushy Boy\' just lately – Muzza\'s sometime partner in crime George Shillito has been left in charge of the family centre down in Polkerris, and no sooner did the parents leave on Sunday than Cornwall\'s RNLI crews appeared in the bay answering a flare from a dinghy in distress. Polkerris Beach\'s Ash Couchman had already saved the day though: more heroics at georgek630.windsurfing.pro

And finally – girls! JP-Australia girls in fact, in the fine form of Shawna Cropas, Olya Raskina and Xenia Kessler, now have their own page at facebook.com and have released this compilation of their part in the 2012 JP photoshoot. Enjoy!
