Launched at NWF 2011 last weekend, the RYA\'s new initiative Project Windsurf-UK looks like a good\'un. Aimed at promoting windsurfing clubs and groups in the UK, and linking individual windsurfers with these groups, the burgeoning social network lives at projectwindsurfuk.org.uk

Out at the Raceboard Worlds in Spain, we still have a Brit on top of the women\'s fleet as Harriet Ellis has extended her lead to two points over Maria Dominguez. Curro Manchon is now a point ahead of Patrik Pollak in the men\'s 9.5 with GBR-365 Mark Kay still second master and fifth overall. More at internationalwindsurfing.com

Meanwhile over in Germany it sounds like we\'ve got another British winner as Zara Davis won all three women\'s \'races\' at the German Speed Championships to take an overall lead on the Euro Tour 2011. Anders Bjorkquist took the men\'s ahead of Daniel Borgelind. More at speedworldcup.com

Unfortunate news from one Brit involved in the next big event on the radar though. Because up in Denmark Ben Proffitt and Simmer team-mate Klaas Voget have both managed to knacker their feet in training for the Klitmoller PWA Cold Hawaii event next week. Klaas\'s is broken but Ben\'s could get better according to thewetdream.co.uk – keep up with proceedings as things hot up for what could seriously be the wave event of the year at worldcup.coldhawaii.eu

And finally, German web mag The Daily Dose are seeking silver surfers who\'ve been windsurfing for over 40 years for a documentary project. If you remember way back when men were real men, get in touch via dailydose.de
