We have to open today with the launch of Tushingham\'s much-vaunted new compact wave / freestyle sail, as the 4-batten Edge hit UK shores this morning. Much more on boards.co.uk and tushingham.com ... and here\'s the first movie of the rig from testing in Dahab.
Of course, you can catch a few Edges in action this weekend at the finale of the UKWA Freestyle Tour in Poole, as WindFest kicks off tonight with an amazing forecast. More at windfest.co.uk
With weather like this (see bigsalty.co.uk) you can be pretty sure there\'ll be no need for the familiar fallback of tow-in freestyle. Unfortunately Brawzinho has headed home now, so you won\'t catch him there this weekend either ... but you can see both from last week\'s ION cable tow-in session at Hove Lagoon with Adam Sims, Bubble and Max Rowe in this little movie!
Want more Marcilio? Well, thanks to barnstorming blogger zakel.ws you can have more as he\'s unearthed this clip of Brawzinho and the gang from Minds Wide Open in Cape Verde last February, as filmed by Nikola Renfer of surfandsail.ch – much more at mindswideopenmovie.com
Talking of Minds Wide Open, Continent Seven have had a chat with the man behind it, Andre Paskowski, on his yearful of filming and continuing to battle cancer. Check it out on continentseven.com – and to see Andre back on a freestyle board, exactly where we all want to see him, check out this wee clip on facebook.com
Chris Pressler at Continent Seven has obviously been a busy boy lately, as he\'s published another illuminating interview with Robby Swift on how K-89 broke his foot in Chile and the prognosis after surgery. Check it out on continentseven.com
Taking our regular trip out to Southern Spain for the Raceboard Worlds now, and after yesterday\'s 75-minute marathon Britain\'s Harriet Ellis is still narrowly ahead of Maria Dominguez in the women\'s fleet while Patrik Pollak and Curro Manchon are tied on points in the 9.5m men\'s. Keep up with the last of the action this weekend at internationalwindsurfing.com
And finally, there\'s no doubt after this summer that SUPs are firmly here to stay – as whether you believe it or not, they genuinely add a whole new facet to any windsurfer\'s armoury. See soulsurfer Fabrice Beaux\'s latest down-the-line Baja session for even more proof, SUPsail waveriding his RRD 8\'11" SUPer on insidertrrding.blogspot.com
