So that\'s that for PWA Sylt 2011 then - and with it the conclusion of what\'s been a thrilling World Tour season. Of course, the 2011 champions should come as no surprise as all that was decided long before Westerland (in case you\'ve been in a cave, Bjorn Dunkerbeck and Sarah-Quita Offringa scooped the slalom, Steven Van Broeckhoven and Sarah-Quita the freestyle, while Philip Koster and Daida Moreno ruled the waves). But back to last weekend and the final contest of the sunny but still Sylt event was the Panasonic night tow-in freestyle comp, won by Steven Van Broeckhoven with a super-fast triple funnell as you can see from the official day 8 event movie right here. The European Freestyle Pro Tour haven\'t had such a great time of it this year, and it\'s gone from bad to worse with the announcement that their season finale at Eilat in Israel has had to be postponed. With just one event counting (remember EFPT Milos on Lefkada?) the organisers have decided that there were "not enough results to present a European Freestyle Pro Tour Champion 2011". Harsh. Meanwhile back in the British Isles it\'s time for the Tiree Wave Classic later this week (more at tireewaveclassic.co.uk) which gives us all the excuse we need for a quick round-up of homeland wave action: Will Rogers is aching from recent windy West Country exploits at windsurfingwilly.wordpress.com, Steve Thorp\'s fresh back from what looks like a great Gwithian weekender at stevethorp.co.uk, Danielle Lucas and Phil Richards remember an amazing week away in Ireland at getwindsurfing.com, while as per usual Mikey Clancey looks quite at home at Belmullet on mikeyclancy.com
Across the pond we\'re stoked to hear that GBR-451 Xavier Ferlet has won four out of five race events out in California to be crowned 2011 CalCup Formula Windsurfing Champion – nice one Xav. More at formulawindsurfing.org

Down in North Africa, having now properly kickstarted his regular blogging regime Boujmaa Guilloul has relaunched his website at guilloul.com with a much cleaner, more picture-led look. Of course, after Sylt it\'s more surfing, stand-up paddling and fussball than windsurfing right now, but we\'re looking forward to plenty more Moroccan magic as winter takes hold...
And finally, over to another blog fresh out of facelift surgery as the Windsurfing Gypsy features possibly the most utilitarian windsurfing vehicle we\'ve seen yet. Take a look at New York architect David\'s Pinzgauer 710m military MPV at windsurfinggypsy.blogspot.com
