We\’re happy to report that the weekend forecast delivered at BWA Gwithian for the Pura Vida Cornwall Classic – for Saturday, at least, as the wind deserted mast-and-a-half Gwithian yesterday… But after a single elimination there is a solid result: 1st Jamie Hancock, 2nd Ben Proffitt, 3rd Timo Mullen and 4th Adam Lewis. Which means Ben Proffitt is 2011 British Wave Champion. Meanwhile out on Maui it\’s also the conclusion of the American Windsurfing Tour series with the Maui Makani Classic that\’s been all go over the weekend. So to Sardinia, where Friday saw the conclusion of Windsurfing Cagliari 2011 – and we\’ve got some British medals to celebrate. In the Youth RS:X Worlds, Noelle Finch finished first under-17 girl, Joe Bennett second under-17 boy and Sam Sills third overall youth.
