After yesterday\'s headline, it seems it set off a bit of a chain reaction. The next big one for the year is that 2011 PWA Freestyle World Champion, Steven Van Broeckhoven is to ride for JP/Pryde. There is no official announcement yet but the handshake with Jason Polakow and the sponsor stickers on the sail appear to confirm this. We are sure he will rip on the gear and that JP/Pryde will work hard with him in research and development. Follow Steven on stevenvanbroeckhoven.com
Another announcement from Neilpryde now and they are recalling a particular model of their mast bases. Here is their words \'Our team just identified an issue on the new UXT-RDM Extension, code: REUXTR34. This applies to a limited number of the first batch of REUXTR34 Extensions\'. Check the full story here - neilpryde.com. However, don\'t be disheartened as they continue to provide quality mast bases throughout their range. So grab yourself one and get ripping.
Talking of ripping - here are a couple of young freestyle rippers. First up is Remko De Zeeuw. The Dutch kid is clearly ripping, at the now famous spot of Browersdam. Also the home spot of many of the worlds best PWA riders.
Next up is 15 year old German styler - Julian Wiemar, who also has an incredibly high level for such a young age. Going by our last few days of news, it seems the future is strong in freestyle windsurfing with 14/15 year olds pushing a level that could easily be seen on the PWA. Anyone else fancy seeing Julian, Remko and Oscar Carmichael up against each other, in a bit of a kids European battle... Check out Julien shredding below.
On the topic of kids shredding, here is one from \'The Children of the Wind\' film (childrenofthewindmovie.com). Actually not quite film but more a documentary about kids growing up on the windy island of Bonaire. The editing is almost complete, so we can expect to see it soon, but for now here is a cool clip of a rooftop session by the band \'Orange Grove\' (ogband.com), that will feature in the documentary, including some nice clips from the locals and world class PWA riders; Kiri Thode, Tonky Frans, Taty Frans and Caeser Finies.
Our next video offering of the day comes from the new EFPT press officer, Hanna Poschinger. We were made aware of this video after continentseven posted her interview for the EFPT yesterday. It seems \'the-girl-got-skillzz\' as she rips up Fuerteventura this summer.
Whilst we are on the EFPT, check out their cool interview with Taty Frans and Tiesda You on shaping and developing the new Starboard Flare. A dramatic change to its predecessors by the sounds of it. Read the full article on efpt.net and check out the board on star-board.com.
Even more about the EFPT now. Be sure to head over to their facebook page to get the latest news, interviews and updates for the coming season - click facebook.com to be taken to their page and hit the \'LIKE\' button to be kept up to date.
