News Headlines – Wed 4th

First up some UK news.If you hadn\’t noticed – IT’S WINDY! Met office weather warnings were, and are, issued for large parts of the country. The wind looks set to continue for a while, look out for photos and videos soon. First reports suggest Steve Thorp has been absolutely smashing the speed runs, with a potential peak of 54 knots! Before it is all officially announced, has released a great report covering an incredible speed session at West Kirby. Where Steve Thorp wasn\’t the only one over 50 knots! Check the video below. 

The team from 5-Oceans have been out testing there 5, 4 and 3 batten wave sails in west Cornwall. Have a look at this nice little video of some clean Cornish winter waves and check their blog for more

The 2010 PWA wave champ, Victor Fernandez, has spent the past couple of months training in Maui and has posted this super nice video. Showing that he also rips in down-the-line conditions.

Victor will be keen to win back his title next year, but looking forward again, and perhaps one day, 11 year old Loick Lesauvage (F-780) will be spoken amongst the names of PWA world champions.
