Unfortunately the wind hasnt played ball at the second leg of the UK wave sailing nationals. Saturday saw freestyle competition run in fluky conditions, but nothing to count to the overall wave title.

The youths and juniors were out and making the most of the light conditions mixing in some non planing moves with aerial moves whilst they got the chance.

Graham Woods won the youths rounds, whilst Darren Mitchell and Mark Bell tie in the amatuers.

Unfortunately, again, the outlook for an official wave event is not good. The strong winds forecast for Monday do not look set to materialise, and they do they will come from the NW meaning that the conditions will be like that from 2 years ago. The 7am briefing has caused a little bit of a stir! Stay tuned for more updates.
