Womens Freestyle World Champions

The PWA Ladies overall freestyle results have been decided after two events, one at Pozo and the other at Sotovento.
Daida Rueno Moreno retains her crown after an amazing performance at Pozo and a good fight at Sotovento where she clawed back to second place. Her sister Iballa Moreno sits comfortably in fourth.

Sandwiched between the two and on equal points are the new young stars of Sarah Quita Offringa from Aruba and Laure Treboux from Switzerland. A compelling performance from these two has really fired up womens freestyle, if you want to find out more about it and watch some amazing video then check out our special feature here.. . We also touted Laure Treboux for a top three ranking this year, if you want to see the full interview then click here . Lack of funding means that the final will not happen in Sylt as scheduled. The Slalom 42, Men and Womans wave and Mens Freestyle should go ahead as planned.

Karin Jaggi who came second in Pozo missed out on a good overall position in 2006 because she was unable to compete in Fuerteventura due to concentrating on speed and slalom. No doubt she will be back next year.
