2006 did not provide as much wind as 2005 for the British Kitesurfin championship, but nonethe less 2 rounds of competition were completed throught the year. A good turn out out of riders and plenty of action was to be seen at all the events even if there was not quite enough wind to run the main competition. For example in Littlehampton earlier in the year riders had a fun competition on an inflatable slider, in Rhosneigr spectators were subjected to some fun boardercross and at Ireland the riders went out to perform there best tricks in a slopestyle format where riders take it in turns to bust out a move. Main competition was held in Watergate Bay in Cornwall at the start of the year and in Troon over the August Bank Holiday.
