In June this year the Arctic Foxes made history by becoming the first British all-female team to cross the Greenland ice-sheet in just sixteen and a half days.
Unfortunately, due to lack of wind, they couldn’t make the most of their Flexifoil kites to help pull them across the ice sheet and break the 6day and 23hours record so the all girl, four-strong team covered 650km from Kangerlussuak in the west to Ammasillik in the east, walking for up to 16 hours a day and dragging 50kg pulks behind them containing all their expedition kit, through incredibly challenging weather conditions.
