It is pretty amazing here, even before the event starts the atmosphere is hyper with loads of marquees set up along the sea front, with bars, displays and all sorts of food. This has already been going on for a week, the crowds are massive and we are not even started yet.
All the main names are here, apart from the notable exception of Jason Polokow who is nursing an injury, and Matt Pritchard. There is a frenzy in the competitors tent at the moment as rigging space is sparce and pit areas are constructed. Generally people have grouped together in countries, although the Fanatic racers are keeping their own area.
I found favourite for the title, Kauli Seadi, hidden under piles of gear with his new Kama Sutra board from Quatro, he seems pretty relaxed at the moment. Also in with a good chance are the UK\'s Nik Baker and Robbie Swift, who have made their own zone. Dunkerbeck is one step ahead on the pit front, he has a mobile home right on the beach in front of the windsurf school where all his sails are stored. Soon the sailors will be paraded nation by nation in front of thousands!!
We are here all week to keep you updated
