Bryony Shaw one of the Top UK, or perhaps the top UK olympic campaigner and Boardseekermag columnist has just won the olympic style SOF event in France. As the 2008 games are approaching the competition is intensifying and winning an event outright puts the UK in a strong place.
Bryony showed consistent performance all week in the varying conditions, but won the all important medal race. With 15 knots of wind and good swell, these were perhaps the most exciting racing conditions for the RS:X, but it was Bryony\'s ability in all wind strengths that shone through.
Bryony said " I am more confident with my speed now, I have improved a lot in windier surfing conditions"
Bianca Manchon held onto third from the Norweigen Jannicke Staalstrom.
