We've got Si Crowther on the scene in Pozo and he's darting around getting all sorts of info on the riders before they hit the water in the next couple of days. First up Justyna Sniady on returning from injury, more from Skye who's taking on slalom racing and Alessio Stillrich on the next pages.

"It's been a year since I shattered my foot here, I feel good. The last round of surgery was to remove a screw from the top of my foot, now I have a volcano sore where the foot strap rubbed the scar tissue. My foot is how it is now and I will just get on with my sailing. I hope the women get to run in proper Pozo conditions, not marginal. I've trained hard to come back from my injury for this event." Justyna Sniady, talks of competing in Pozo after a near crippling foot injury here last year.

John Skye also talks about his choice to take up PWA slalom racing.

"I've got all this slalom kit now, not because I decided to start competing in slalom, but the other way around. Im testing all the latest RRD slalom gear, and I thought now that I have all this gear, I may as well compete too. This winter I've sailed more slalom than wave" John Skye, talking about his decision to get into slalom racing too.

Alessio Stillrich, first on the water today.

"I was out on a 4.2 and actually I felt quite OK, I think a 4.5 would have been better, 'cos I felt like a little bit under powered, but it was OK. the waves… just too small at the moment." Allesio Stillrich.
