Despite some wind forecast for today it seemed to remain light and not kick in enough even for the slalom riders. With a plan of action in place to run tow-in should the wind not appear the freestylers, and some wave riders, took to centre stage to qualify for the €2000 evening tow-in super session late Saturday afternoon.
Utilising the tow-in winch, the 12 riders charged through the building chop and light onshore breeze to launch into huge burner 720's, culos and even a perfect air funnel into burner. In the end, despite the best efforts from many of them it was to be Marco Lufen, Kiri Thode, Amado Vrieswijk, Yentel Caers, Julien Mas and Steven Van Broeckhoven who will advance to the final with Thode taking top marks.
Tomorrow night will be a separate tow-in night session supported by Philips, who are currently in the process of attaching lighting to the sails of the top 12 riders from the previous super session that took place on Tuesday afternoon. The €4000 prize money event will take place at 20:00 and will be live on www.pwaworldtour.com.
