The Breakdown – Fri 19th – Fernandez, SVB Injured and more…

It’s all getting pretty exciting in the Canaries right now, more and more riders are arriving in Pozo with plenty of time to train for the PWA event that will be held there in July. Perhaps one of the toughest competitors of all time in Pozo has to be Victor Fernandez, and that’s exactly who we kick off with today. A perfect stalled table top forward and on the brand new 2016 North Sails.

Within the world of freestyle, Steven Van Broeckhoven has updated stating that he has sustained an injury to his ankle whilst training in Egypt and had to fly home for surgery. Rumours are that it happened during a Kabikuchi and Steven had to return to the beach via safety boat. It’s not unheard of that these top athletes to recover fast and bounce back, one such example is Robby Swift who recovered in just over a month after fracturing his Tibia and ankle during the warm up to PWA Pozo last year. Our fingers are crossed for Steven Van Broeckhoven who is currently leading the PWA freestyle rankings.

Just to wrap up on something we could all try this weekend…
