The Breakdown – Mon 17th – Hydrofoiling, EFPT, Van Broeckhoven back, Lesauvage and more…

Welcome back to another week of windsurfing Breakdowns, action coming out our ears today so we’ll jump right in.

First up, hoe do you spend your day off? Like this…

Meanwhile Nico Akgazciyan is getting his stoke on as he makes an appearance on French national TV.

Now there’s a lot of chat about hydrofoiling being all the rage right now. Sure it’s catching on a bit, maybe thanks to hydrofoils becoming a little more accessible but Harken have dropped a big claim that they were frothing over this some 30 years ago.

Throwback: Harken Hydrofoiling Windsurfer

#ThrowbackThursday! #Harken was foiling long before it was all the rage…

Back in the world of competition and the European Freestyle Pro Kids Tour mingled with their heroes of the EFPT in Croatia last week. There’s finally a video of that out and it’s pretty nice. Why might we say that? Well no reason, just that we happened to supply that aerial footage.

Talking of those heroes of freestyle, here is the edit from the full European Freestyle Pro Tour, just click on the image below to check it out.

One face missing from the EFPT was Steven Van Broeckhoven. Having been European Champion for the last two years running he was on form to take it once again, however injury showed him a harsh card and he had to pull out of a number of events already. Nonetheless he is now back to form and his first stop was to visit Balz Müller and his motley brothers in Switzerland, not everyones first choice to avoid injury we imagine. No doubt the time off has got Steven firing on all cylinders, such is his drive and motivation. With one event to go on the PWA and two on the EFPT, there is plenty to focus on and a small chance that Steven can still claim the EFPT title.

Waaaau! such a great evening session with a big specialquest 󾌰 yeah u see right! so nice Steven is back on the board!…
