The Breakdown – Tues 16th – PWA pro talk, Marca Euro-trip, Lancelin and more…

With PWA Cold Hawaii still on standby due to offshore winds and little to no swell we have had a rummage around the web and also been sent a couple things our way to ensure we get our daily dose of action.

Opening the Breakdown today is a freestyle clip featuring Riccardo Marca, the young italian freestyler spent a few weeks road tripping through Europe with his friend Maxime Schmidt. The two scored sessions in Croatia, Greece and Italy and they have just released this edit. A nice soundtrack and some good action from someone we could well be seeing a lot more of.

Some rather large news that comes out of the Southern Hemisphere this European morning. The Lancelin Ocean Classic has confirmed a three year contract to ensure the event will continue running for a good few more years yet. An incredible event with wave competition, long distance and more, it certainly attracts many of the biggest names in the world each year. Find out more details on this extended contract here.

Meanwhile back in colder climes and as we mentioned the PWA World Tour is yet to kick off even the trials heats for those who are to make the main event. However, there is more than enough entertainment to tuck into, including this highlights video from day 1.

And for those who want to get a bit nerdy and down with all the latest gear there are plenty of chats going on today, with replays of all the livestreaming, including talks with Alex Mussolini, Dany Bruch, Antonie Martin, an equipment tent walk through with Ben Proffitt and much more, just tune in below to watch that.
