Huge storms swept over the northern part of Europe during the middle of last week and without much end in sight it looks like they will keep on rolling in during the coming week. For those lucky enough to still have one or two 'sick days' remaining then you would have been blessed with some epic action on very small sails. One such man, Jacques Van Der Hout made the journey across to West Kirby from Holland in an attempt to clock some serious speeds. Attaining a peak just shy of 50 knots and an average of 47.06 knots Jacques was the fastest man of the day closely followed by Jim Crossley from the UK.
