The pirouette gybe is well within the reach of anybody who can carve gybe consistently. It is a really cool ‘old school’ trick which is not actually as hard as it looks. Break it down, practice on the beach and give them a go! Guaranteed no-one else at your beach will be doing them!!

HOT TIPS!!

  • Take your front foot out of the strap early
  • Slide your front hand right to the front of the boom
  • Keep your weight on your toes
  • Look over your shoulder and your body will follow!
